Hailing from the vibrant township of Katlehong, located east of Johannesburg in Gauteng, DJ Teelee is a rising force in South Africa’s deep house scene. Known for his soulful sets, meticulous production and deep-rooted passion for music, Teelee has been steadily carving out a name for himself among house music lovers and tastemakers alike.
From a young age, Teelee was drawn to the rich rhythms and melodies that define the South African soundscape. Influenced by the golden era of deep house and the evolving underground scene, he began experimenting with beat-making and DJing in his teens. What started as bedroom mixes quickly grew into a dedicated pursuit, as he honed his craft playing local gigs, community events and underground parties throughout Katlehong and greater Johannesburg.
Teelee’s sound is characterized by warm basslines, atmospheric textures and soulful vocal samples, blending the timeless essence of deep house with contemporary flair.
